Yard Work

Today we added some new plants to the back yard.We put in honeysuckle vine, red grass, a rose bush and a creeping myrtle.  Yes, I know I've already tried countless plants in the backyard, and the dogs manage to kill them all. But this time we're trying to outsmart them and put some barriers in the way. Behold our bamboo fencing :)

They have left this plant alone, but we're taking precautions anyway
Here is a closeup of the honeysuckle
 And the creeping myrtle

Also, I finally put my first plant into my raised garden bed. It's a sweet little Brussel sprout plant. And yes, we do like Brussel sprouts :)
Happy Monday (and Labor Day), Everyone!

I hope that "barrier" works! I know it wouldn't keep my dogs out!

Best wishes for successful, dog-free gardening! (I like Brussel Sprouts, too.)
