Home Inspection

Hey, folks! We are having a home inspection done tomorrow, so I'm just going to ask that you all pray it goes well. I'll give you the update tomorrow after the realtor lets me know, but I'm reallyreallyreally hoping that nothing major needs fixed. Ahhhh the joys of selling a home, and being thousands of miles away. Thanks ahead of time for the prayers!

Various Items

*I got my cartilage pierced in my left ear. Very unlike me, but I was feeling adventurous one day, so my friend went with me and also had hers done. I haven't had my ear peirced in 12 years, but so far so good.

*I went and had my hair cut and styled. It's still longer, but it was boring me to tears, so I had the style changed.

*Drove to Phoenix this past weekend. Rode a mechanical bull at a restaurant on Friday night. Had lots of bruises on Saturday morning. Also while we were in town, Dan and I drove down to base to see if our old house was still there. It was, and it looked pitiful. Poor little house.....

*I'm having NO luck with finding a job. I feel like all I do is put in applications, but I haven't gotten any calls. If I could just get a job, then we could get into an apartment (Right now we're still living with friends), which leads me to my next point.....

*We still haven't sold our house! I am praying and praying that it sells soon, because I really want to finally get a place of our own and have all our things again. I have been living out of a suitcase for far too long, and I've never been more ready to get back to "normal".

*It's finally getting a little cooler here, so I'm going to try to be outside more. The past few weeks I've had HORRIBLE cabin fever (as if you couldn't tell from this post). I have no job, I don't want to go out cause then you usually spend money, and it's been too hot to just do anything outdoors. 

*Pray for us! It gets really discouraging sometimes when there is no end in sight and really nothing you can do about it. I don't want to focus on the negative because there is SO much to be thankful for, I know, but just keep us in your prayers.

We've been so busy lately I forgot to post pictures of Dans new car. So here it is. Sorry I didn't take any shots of the interior. Just use your imagination =) He loves it. I love it. And yes, he has hesitantly let me drive it.

Life in Las Vegas

We had our first visitors this past weekend. Dan's sister and her husband won a trip to Vegas, so they stayed down on the strip at Planet Hollywood. We picked his sister up at the airport on Friday night and from then on we were with them almost non-stop. We all had a great time together but I felt like all I was ever doing was eating! The buffets in the casinos are amazing. We did see two shows: one magic and one comedy. Neither show was our first choice, but since it was labor day weekend the shows were either already sold out or they were closed for the holiday. It isn't a big deal for us, because we live only a few minutes away so we can catch them any time, but I know Dan's sister was dissapointed about not being able to see certain shows. I know they'll be back though, so we'll plan ahead next time.

We walked up and down and up and down and up and down the strip numerous times. Obviously it's the most beautiful at night with all the lights. We watched some of the free shows along the strip. Every hour there is the amazing fountain display in front of the Bellagio. Treasure Island also has a pirate show out front. The mirage has a volcano eruption, but we missed that one. Also you can go indoors and see some interesting things. The MGM Grand has a live lion habitat inside. The mall inside Planet Hollywood has a thunderstorm diplay. Those are just a few things I've discovered so far.

Dan's sister was interested in getting away from the strip for a while so  we went to Hoover Dam and we also took them a couple of times to the house we're staying at in North Las Vegas. They flew out on Wednesday, and we can't wait for them to come back! Next time maybe you can stay at OUR house =)

Okay, I think this is it for now. I did find some picture of me and Dan on our social netorking sites that I could copy, so those are up now. I might switch up the pictures of the dogs too, but that's not important. They won't notice either way =)

Time For A Change *update*
