New Pattern

Look at this cool, vintage pattern I just bought on http://www.etsy.com They have tons of complete vintage patterns, and most of them are a great price. This one only cost me $8 total. I love 40's and 50's style, and there were so many patterns to choose from! It was so hard to decided. But, I had to walk away before my cart was overflowing, and my pocketbook was empty. Now we just wait for the mailman....

Remembering 9/11

“Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. “- President George W. Bush, November 11, 2001

“Now, we have inscribed a new memory alongside those others. It’s a memory of tragedy and shock, of loss and mourning. But not only of loss and mourning. It’s also a memory of bravery and self-sacrifice, and the love that lays down its life for a friend–even a friend whose name it never knew. “- President George W. Bush, December 11, 2001

Company

My brother left yesterday after staying with us for a week. I hate that he had to leave, but we had a good time while he was here. Although it rained and rained and rained the whole time he was here, we did still manage to sneak in a few fun things. We made it to the pool, although it was only for 30 minutes, we played x-box games that we borrowed and rented (some good, some horrible), we took him to see Dark Knight, we went to Busch Garden, we watched a lot of movies and we stayed up way later than we should have.

Aaron also spend a lot of time sleeping and snuggling with my dogs. Here's the picture proof

Labor Day

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy Labor Day! Be safe and enjoy the holiday!

6 Random things

Karen over at Candid Diversions tagged me to list 6 random things about myself. Here's what I came up with:
1. I love the smell of my husbands deodorant
2. My closet and my drawers are organized by color
3. I can say the alphabet backwards fairly fast.
4. I hate ants
5. I took swimming lessons when I was young, but I still hold my nose when I swim.
6. I sucked my thumb til I was nine.
