Weekend Recap

This was one of those weekends where every day was busy. On Friday Dan's squadron had their fall fiesta. It's a fun day filled with sports competitions, good food, and lots of fun activities for the kids. We had to be there early so by mid morning Roman was clearly tired. I took him to a friends house so he could get a nap. Once his nap was over, we headed back the the park just in time to see Dan compete in the Iron man Airman Challenge. The groups had to push a van, flip a HUGE tire, carry six 80lb duffel bags, low crawl under a net, Carry a person on a gurney, and then run to the finish line. Out of the eight teams competing, Dan's group won!

On Saturday Dan and I got a sitter for Roman and went on a date. I've always wanted to ride the rides on the top of the stratosphere, so that's what we did.

 It was a beautiful night and the view from the top is amazing.

After the rides we enjoyed some delicious sea food at Joe's crab shack. A great end to a fun night together.

Sunday was Dan's birthday.  Sunday afternoons are spent watching football at a friends house and this past Sunday was no different. We took a cake and some steaks and we enjoyed the game and the company. Roman especially enjoyed his friend's mini recliner :)

It was a busy weekend, but it was also a very fun weekend. And with that I wrap up our weekend review. Have a great week, everyone!

29 Reasons

In honor of Dan's 29th birthday I wanted to make a list of 29 reasons Roman and I are lucky we get to share our lives with him

1. He's extremely generous
2. He's one hard working man....
3. Which makes it possible for me to stay home with Roman.
4. You can trust this man with anything
5. He's is an incredible Father to Roman
6. He's a man of Honor
7. He serves his country without hesitation
8. He loves animals almost as much as I do
9. And animals love him (They must be able to tell his has a kind soul)
10. He will remember corny jokes to relay to me because he knows I love them
11. He is punctual
12. And very reliable
13. He doesn't mind cleaning bathrooms ;)
14. He takes his health and fitness very seriously
15. He is an excellent cook and grill Master
16. He is honest
17. He is very friendly and makes friends for life
18. He is thoughtful
19. And charming
20. He knows exactly what he likes
21. He is great at encouraging me
22. And listening to me
23. He is calm, cool, and collected
24. He is a whiz at fixing cars...even if he hates them *cough* ALERO *cough*
25. He's got a great sense of humor (I can tell, since he finds all my jokes hilarious :)
26. Even after a long day at work, he will  jump in and help me with anything I need
27. He's a perfectionist so you know he gives 100% (maybe more-- if that's needed to get it right) ;)
28. He puts his family first
29. He loves me and Roman

Nine Months!

Nine Months! How can this be? This year is going entirely too fast!

New things this month:

He's finished nursing

He can stand unassisted for a few seconds

Four more teeth! Two on top and two on bottom(this makes eight total)
